American Fashion Network Announces Partnership with Materials for the Arts (MFTA)
American Fashion Network is excited to announce its new partnership with Materials for the Arts, New York City’s premier creative reuse center. This new partnership demonstrates American Fashion Networks commitment to the importance of circular design and sustainable best practices.
Materials for the Arts provides non-profits, public schools, and city agencies access to free textile materials that will be re-used and transformed through innovation and creativity. Through this partnership, American Fashion Network will be donating a wide range of materials and fabrics from our sampling processes in our New York City Workroom that would otherwise end up in landfills. This collaboration allows American Fashion Network to sustainably support the creative community in New York City while simultaneously minimizing our impact on the environment.
"As a company, we have a responsibility to reduce waste and improve sustainability in our industry." said Jackie Ferrari, founder and CEO of American Fashion Network. "Donating our scrap fabric not only supports local communities but also contributes to a more circular design process, where waste becomes a valuable resource. We believe that by taking small actions like this, we can make a big impact on the world around us"
